Weekly Notes

The Countdown has begun to this year’s must see Naomh Colmcille fundraising event. 26 Days left to get your hands on tickets for the Lord and Lady of Naomh Colmcille which is being held in the Clanree Hotel on Saturday 4th August.

All 25 dancers are flat out training their wee socks off to ensure that this will be the maddest, funniest, best entertainment your have seen this year.

 

Naomh Comlcille presents a unique opportunity to get rid of all your unwanted scrap metal and clothing and help your local GAA Club. This continues in the Killea / St. Johnston / Carrigans area; all you have to do is bring the listed items below to Gerard (Diesel) McDaid’s yard on the following dates:

Saturday 7th July 2012 between 9 am and 5pm

Saturday 14th July 2012 between 9 am and 5pm

Anything that may contain Copper, Brass, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Iron, Steel, Lead and Electric Cables, empty food cans, Saucepans, Toasters, Electric Cookers, Washing Machines, Dishwashers, , Microwaves, Tumble Dryers, Swings, Lawnmowers, Strimmers, Rakes Etc, Gardening Equipment, Car Parts, Alloy wheels (No Tyres), Car batteries, Kitchen sinks, Sink tops, Ironing Boards, Radiators, Solid Fuel Cookers, Food Mixers, Electric Knives, Cast Iron Fireplaces, Bicycles, Go Carts, Trampolines, Swing Frames, Goal Posts, Steel Oil Tanks, Coal Buckets, Steel Coal Bunkers, Steel Window Frames, Boilers, Steel Garden Furniture, Gas Heaters, Gas Cookers, Steel Gutters, Golf Irons, Clothes Lines, Sheep Wire, Fencing Wire, Barrels, Wheel Barrows, old Cars, Car Doors/Bonnets etc, Wheel Rims, Gates, Corrugated Iron. All clean clothing including Household Textiles, Clothes, Shoes, Handbags, Belts, Curtains, Bed Linen as well as soft and hard back books.

 

Naomh Colmcille are hosting a Kellogs GAA Camp from Monday 23rd of July until Friday 27th for all children aged 6-13yrs. Camp starts @10am to 2:30pm. Can all children please bring a packed lunch and dress for the weather!! (Their will be a tuck shop available). All children will receive a full football kit and a bag cost $55 for the first child and €45 for each child thereafter. . Please contact Sharon on +35387 9685558 to reserve your place. This will be a week of fun, games and craic with qualified coaches. Everyone Welcome

Naomh Colmcille Training Schedule this week is as follows

 

· Under 8’s: Training will be this Saturday 14th of July at 10 am.

 

· Under 10’s: Well done to both Under 10’s teams that put in outstanding performances in their home blitz on Saturday morning. Thanks to Termon and Buncranna for travelling to Newtown for the blitz. Big thanks to the parents for their support and for providing the refreshments. Training will be resume @6:30pm this Friday 13th July.

 

· Under 12’s: Training on Monday the 16th of July at 7:00 pm

 

· Under 14’s: training/match tbc; please check Facebook or club website for updates.

 

· Under 16’s: training/match tbc; please check Facebook or club website for updates.

 

· Under 18’s: training/match tbc; please check Facebook or club website for updates.

 

· Gaelic for Girls training: will be on Friday the 13 th of July at 6:30 pm at Páirc Colmcille.

 

Can all under age players please bring €2, boots, shorts /track bottoms and a drink please.

 

· Senior training will continue this week as per notification via TEXT from Senior Manager Joe Higgins

 

New players are always welcome!!

Naomh Colmcille’s Lotto: This week’s winning sequence was 1.5.8.18.21 Congratulations to Liam Doran C/o Coyle’s Bar & Restaurant, Darren & Devainne Coyle’s and Margaret Kildea who matched 3 numbers and shared in €75. Next week’s jackpot €650. The Club would like to take the opportunity to Thank Everyone for their continued support of the Lotto as it gives the Club the essential means of continuing to give our local Kids and Adults the chance to avail of a great and healthy pass time.

 

The club is now registered for a ‘Lucozade sport promotion’ where we could get either €10,000 if we collect the most bottle caps, or entered into a draw for €5,000 if we collect over 500 caps, so start collecting your bottle caps now!’

Naomh Colmcille would greatly appreciate if everyone in the local community and beyond could start collecting these vouchers and Tokens on behalf of the Club as it would mean a great deal to our local youth and bring much needed equipment to aid the development of our underage teams.

Tokens can be given to any Club member, player, and coach or committee member.

 

 

Naomh Colmcille SPORT’s DAY 2012 will be held on Sunday 29th July at Páirc Colmcille details of the event to follow.

 

July’s committee Meeting will be held on the 9th July at 8pm at Páirc Colmcille, could all members please attend.
