Organisers of next week’s Coastal Caancer Challenge have been left shocked after rubbish was dumped on the route of the race.
The race will take place next weekend and will see competitors kayak, cycle and jog their way around a spectacular course in Falcarragh and Dunfanaghy on the old railway line at the back of Muckish.
However organisers of the event were left shocked when they discovered all sorts of rubbish had been left on the route.
They have now been forced to organize a clean-up in a bid to have the event ready for next week.
The clean-up takes place this weekend and organisers are appealing for as many people as possible to come out and lend a hand.
The clean-up starts tomorrow morning, Saturday meeting at 9.30am at the Gate House, Moyra, Falcarragh and all materials will be provided to help with the clean-up.
