THE DONEGAL-based brother of singer/politician Dana has been questioned by police in London, it was reported today.
The Irish Independent says John Brown, who has a home in Urris, Inishowen, was questioned by the Metropolitan police last month.
He was held for several hours about allegations made by an American niece that he had abused her in London when she was a child.
Mr Brown strenuously denies the claims and is reportedly free on police bail with the case set to be reviewed next month.
Mr Brown, who is 56, has extensive property interests throughout Co Donegal and was behind several developments in Fahan and Newtowncunningham.
He lives between his house in London and his house in Inishowen.
The allegations sparked controversy last year when Dana interrupted a TV debate to denounce claims being made about her family.
John Brown was her election director and announced her bid for the Presidency on local radio last autumn.
