GAA NEWS: NAOMH BRID NOTES

There was mixed fortunes for our Senior and Reserve teams at the weekend against Cloughaneely. In the reserve game, Cloughaneely took a strong half-time lead with the use of the breeze to leave them well in control. Naomh Brid battled well in the second half and the loss of Stephen Walls to injury didn’t help as they ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline. The seniors started brightly in their match and used the breeze to their advantage. A goal from Darragh Brogan minutes before half-time helped the lads to a lead of 1-8 to 0-3 at half-time. Cloughaneely came out strong in the second half but could only manage to get within a goal. Naomh Brid powered home in the last 10 minutes and reeled off a number of unanswered scores to win 1-13 to 0-10.

Good luck to David and the rest of the county team this Sunday in the Ulster Final against Down.

The club are hosting a Blind Date night this Saturday at9pm in Jameises Bar, Ballintra in aid of the Celebrity Bainisteoir campaign. Pippa and the camera crew will be in attendance on the night. Come along and join in and see the many surprises in store. Come early to avoid disappointment.
