DDTV: FORMER Armagh star Stevie McDonnell reckons Donegal will have just a bit too much for Down in the Ulster SFC Final in Clones on Sunday (throw-in 2pm).
In this interview McDonnell gives his reasons for his belief that Donegal will win back-to-back titles by two to three points.
Donegal manager Jim McGuinness has named his team ahead of Sunday’s Ulster match.
Midfielder Neil Gallagher has been ruled out with a chipped bone that he suffered during a club game, which means that Leo McLoone comes into the side.
McLoone starts at centre-forward, with Ryan Bradley moving into centre-field to partner Rory Kavanagh. Donegal SF team to play Down: 1. Durcan, 2. McGrath, 3. N McGee, 4. McGlynn; 5. E McGee, 6. Lacey, 7. Thompson; 8. Bradley, 9. Kavanagh; 10. Walsh, 11. McLoone, 12. McHugh; 13. McBrearty, 14. Murphy (capt), 15. McFadden.
The team trained at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny last night – and finished with a Celtic-style huddle at the end!
