People on the streets of Buncrana could have been forgiven for thinking others handing out free cookies had an ulterior motive.
But the truth is that the cookies are just part of many nice things being cooked up by the Buncrana Community Combatting Suicide group.
The group has organised the Feel Good Fortnight to promote wellbeing in our community. It will be a time to share, celebrate and enjoy all that is good, healthy and positive.
Events include a two-week challenge for everyone to join in Random Acts of Kindness and the “Take it to the Streets” day of street music, street theatre and family fun in Buncrana on Saturday August 4.
There will be plenty of surprises with crazy, funny and beautiful community art projects springing up around the area.
Watch out for the Youth Intercultural Day in Swan’s Park on Saturday July 28, organised by the Donegal Youth Service.
This event marks the launch of the Feel Good Fortnight and will include live bands, dance, arts and crafts and much more. Timetables are available on the website and flyers have been distributed around the Buncrana area which also include a timetable.
