Gardai are investigating a break-in to a café on the Main Street in Newtowncunningham.
The culprits used some kind of instrument to break through the front window of the premises and removed a till.
The break-in is the latest in a line of break-ins in the area.
It has been claimed that it took Gardai an hour to respond to the call.
Local Fianna Fail councilor Paul Canning said Garda resources in the area are simply not good enough.
