A large crowd is expected this evening for the Drumhalla 5k run and walk on the outskirts of Ratmullan.

The race is number 22 in the Donegal Athletics Board Schedule and starts at St. Garvan’s National School Drumhalla, Rathmullan.

One of the most challenging routes on the schedule, the annual 5k run/walk starts at 7.30pm sharp with registration from 6.15pm at the school.

For competitors not familiar with the venue, Drumhalla NS is located about 4 miles outside Rathmullan just off the Knockalla Coast Road, turn left at the Whitestrand Utd. football pitch and travel along this road for about 2km.

Everyone is very welcome and tea and light refreshments will be provided after the race.

In addition to this, on Sunday, 29th July 2012 commencing at 1.30pm, there will be a family fun & sports day at Whitestrand Utd. football field. All the usual novelty races for children & adults and much more.
