Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

THE ANNUAL RAPHOE
DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK

Will take place on Saturday 18th August. We invite as many parishioners as possible to travel to Knock for this day. Mass will be at 3 pm with anointing and blessing of the sick. Pilgrims are asked to arrive early to avail of Confessions. A bus will leave the Cathedral Car Park at 8.30 am. Tickets for the bus are €20 and may be purchased from the Parochial House.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF KNOCK

Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland,
you gave hope to our people in a time of distress
and comforted them in sorrow.
You have inspired pilgrims to pray with confidence to your divine Son,
remembering His promise:
“Ask and you shall receive, Seek and you shall find”.
Help me to remember that we are all pilgrims on the road to heaven. Fill me with love and concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those who live with me.
Comfort me when I am sick or lonely or depressed.
Teach me how to take part ever more reverently in the holy Mass.
Pray for me now, and at the hour of my death. Amen.

WELCOME REVEREND JONATHAN FLOOD

Today we welcome Rev. Jonathan Flood to our Parish. He will be here on a part-time basis for his deaconate year in which he will also study for the H.Dip. in Galway. Rev. Jonathan is from Ballintra and studied in Maynooth and Rome. Please keep him in your prayers as he enters this final year before ordination to the priesthood and also pray for more vocations.
