Residents of a West Donegal village have threatened to block off their road if roadworks are not completed on it.
Residents of Annagry say they have been waiting months for a resurface of the Glen Road which is littered with potholes.
Work was scheduled to start on the stretch of road this week but workmen who arrived in the area moved to a different location closer to Loughanure.
Residents say they do not know why the workmen moved to Loughnaure which is a less urgent job.
They told Donegal Daily they tried to contact Donegal County Council by phone but nobody returned their calls.
Locals have held a meeting to discuss the matter and will meet again next week if the work is not completed.
“The locals are hoping to have answers to their questions and the engineer in question there too or the Glen Road will be closed until the answers are given to the outraged locals,” said a spokesman.
