THIS is the latest fantastic picture of a male snowy owl which has made Arranmore Island its home.
The bird was first seen on two weeks ago, and is still on the island.
Ornithologists from north and south of the Border have been travelling to the island hoping to see the owl.
Donegaldaily.com reader Christine Cassidy was among them – and this is her great pic!
There were similar sightings on Arranmore in 1993 and on Tory in 2010.
The Snowy Owl is an extremely rare bird in Ireland and this is the 13th confirmed record but only the third in the last 50 years.
