GAA NEWS: ST EUNAN’S CLUB NOTES
Ticket collection for Sunday’s Historic All-Ireland quarter-final v Kerry can be collected tomorrow, Thursday between 8pm and 9pm in the Clubhouse. Please keep an eye on your e-mail and Facebook in case the collection has to be moved to Friday evening – if you don’t hear or see anything, come ahead on Thursday night.
The Minor Board Executive are also having a meeting on Thursday evening at 7pm. Please be on time so we can be finished for the ticket collection.
The Minor Football Div. 1 League semi-finals scheduled for this Friday (August 3rd) have been postponed, they will be reaffixed for the following week. Details when we get them.
Please remember to pay for your Club Tie if you have not already done so….. There are a few extra ties (€15) if anyone wants to get their hands on one, a very limited number so be quick if you want one.
Best of luck to Rory, Kevin and Donegal on Sunday as they travel to Croke Park to take on Kerry for the first time in Championship action.
The Senior hurlers had a good win over MacCumhaills last Wednesday and if Burt beat MacCumhaills our boys will meet Burt in the Final.
The Minor boys footballers claimed the Northern Board League title last week courtesy of a 1-08 to 0-08 win over Cloughaneely in Dunfanaghy, they take on Aodh Rua, Ballyshannon in the county semi-final this Friday (Aug. 3rd) in Ballybofey. They also have championship quarter-final first leg away to Urris this Wednesday (Aug. 1st).
The U14 boys are also in Championship action on Wednesday evening at home to MacCumhaills, the winners will meet Buncrana in the Northern final. They had a huge win over Naomh Conaill in last week’s League Final winning by 1-20 to 0-03.
The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy is on a two week break and will return on Friday, August 17th. The Sunday morning Football Academy is also on a break and will return on August 19th.
The U16 Hurlers had a walk over from the Gaels last Thursday. They play away this Thursday against MacCumhaills. The bus will leave at 5:45pm.
The U12 Hurlers had a good win away to the Gaels. They play at home to MacCumhaills this Thursday.
U16 Hurling training is on every Monday at 5:30pm in O’Donnell Park. U12 Hurling training Tuesday at 5:30. As usual all new hurlers welcome.
Money is now being collected for the Club Ties for those still to pay. If you ordered one and still haven’t got it, contact Paul McGovern on 086-8114151 to arrange collection. There are still a limited number available for anyone that wants to get their hands on one.
Rumour has it that Brian Kelly has a milestone birthday in the next week or so (Lordy, Lordy!!).
The Letterkenny Reunion will have their Gaelic Match next Wednesday, August 8th in the Park and is always great entertainment.
There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot. 3 winners matched 3 numbers and win €35 each: Dessie Larkin, New Mills; Neil Campbell and Kieran Tobin, Orchard Grove (all card). Numbers drawn were: 1-3-11-24. Next week’s Jackpot is €2,200.
We extend our sympathies to the Grimes family on the sad passing of Frank, a true gentleman.
