Dinny McGinley T.D. Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht has been informed by Leo Varadkar, T.D. Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport that building works on the proposed new Coast Guard Station for Killybegs will commence within the next few weeks.
Minister McGinley has also been informed, that the Office of Public Works have completed their tender process and awarded the tender to the successful bidder.
Minister McGinley further added, that the provision of a new modern up to date Coast Guard Station will be of tremendous benefit to the fishing community and all others who are engaged in maritime activity off the North West coast.
