The Minor County Hurlers made the long trip to Athleague, Co. Roscommon last Saturday. Despite a good hurling display by the lads they lost out to a good Roscommon team. A ten minute scoring spell by Roscommon near the end of the first half proved the difference and despite a determined effort in the second half the Donegal lads couldn’t close the score.
The U16 County Hurlers also recently took part in a blitz held in Newry, Co Down. They defeated Laois, Tyrone and Armagh and lost by 2 points to Antrim. This was a useful workout as they prepare for the National U16 Feile at the end of the month.
The U14 County Hurlers were also out last Saturday where they played 6 games winning their share and only losing by 2 or 3 points against Antrim A and Down A.
A County Hurling Training camp is being held in Letterkenny Gaels home pitch Monday to Wednesday of this week from 10am to 2:30pm for U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17s. All welcome.
The August U8 Hurling Blitz will take place in Four Master at 11am sharp. Please confirm attendance as soon as possible. The U10 Hurling Blitz will take place on August 19th.
