There will be a 5k on Friday 17th August at 7pm in aid of the North West Cancer Support (Mary McGinley)taking place at Carrickfinn airport. Registration in Donegal Airport from 6pm with race starting at 7pm. No entry fee, donations gratefully accepted. Best of luck to Aidan Gillespie and Derek Gillespie who are competing in Tullamore on Saturday in the Masters Track and Field Championships. Good times by Johnny Wilson and Helen McCready who both completed the 15k last in Sunday in warm conditions. A number of athletes competed and had good showings in the Columba Doherty 5k in Gweedore last Sunday. Training for underage has pretty much taken a break now until next month when the cross country will begin again. It is hoped to also begin senior training for cross country. Thanks to all who helped with bag pack and got involved in the parade.
