It was a happy afternoon in National Lottery offices today when the Donegal holders of the two winning tickets for the Lotto Plus 2 draw from last Saturday (11 August 2012) each collected their separate prizes of €250,000.
Pat O’Hagan from Letterkenny, a retired Post Office worker, said he was ‘delighted’ to collect his Lotto Plus 2 prize of €250,000 today.
Pat purchased his €4 ticket last Saturday in Macs Mace store on the High Road in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
He chose his own numbers himself and has been ‘playing these numbers since Lotto started in 1988. I won over €1,000 in the mid-eighties but haven’t won anything since. I’m really looking forward to taking a holiday in Florence in Italy soon, to see the statue of David because I’m interested in art and sculpture. I’m also going to visit my older brother in New Mexico later on’, he finished.
The second winner of the Lotto Plus 2 top prize, who purchased their €12 ticket in The Paper Post on Main Street, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, also last Saturday, collected their prize of €250,000 today in the National Lottery.
The second Donegal winner, who wanted no details at all revealed about their identity, said that they were ‘absolutely delighted with the win, and I’m looking forward to winning it again very soon’, they chuckled.
Tomorrow night’s Lotto jackpot is heading for €6 million. Players are advised to play early in any National Lottery store before 7.45pm tomorrow evening to be in with a chance to win or share in this great jackpot.
