TV chef Catherine Fulvio has given the seal of approval to a Donegal food company at one of the world’s most prestigious food fairs.

Donegal company Green Pastures is making so much progress, it was invited to the Specialty & Fine Food Fair in London.

Several Irish food and drink producers were attending the event at the Olympia under the auspices of Bord Bia.

Now in its 13th year the Specialty Fine Food Fair attracts retailers and those in the hospitality industry who are looking for fine quality local and regional produce with provenance, including delicatessens, farm shops, independent retailers, cafes, restaurants, and wholesalers.

John Molloy, Managing Director of Green Pastures said: “Trade events such as the Specialty Fine Food Fair are an important window outside of Ireland for small Irish food and drink producers and we were delighted to be part of this event following on our recent successes at the Great Taste Awards.

“The food sector is about so much more than just quality Irish produce, it is, in to-days economy, critical to creating job opportunities and creating sustainable local employment.  It’s also a very positive symbol of our culture and our identity as people and an excellent way of selling our country to visitors, so this was not only an opportunity for companies such as ours to reach potential new customers, but also an excellent chance to promote Ireland to potential visitors from the UK and the many others that attended from across the world.

“TV Chef Catherine Fulvio was absolutely excellent over the days of the fair in highlighting the quality and versatility of Irish Food especially that produced by small Great Taste Award winning regional producers like Green Pastures (Donegal) and the other Irish producers that attended and we acknowledge Bord Bia’s role in making that possible”

Famed for its soft cheese and dairy products under its Yeats Country brand and also private label, Green Pastures (Donegal) has grown from a small regional creamery into a multi-award-winning company producing a wide range of products from soft cheese to yogurts, sour cream, crème fraiche, mascarpone and real cheese dips for sectors like readymade meal and dessert manufactures, major retailers and foodservice, both at home and abroad.
