GOLF NEWS: ROSAPENNA CLUB NOTES

The Sunday club competition on the 10th Sept held over the Old Tom Morris Links was won by Marty Carlin 9 with 41 pts. Runner up was Pete Gallagher 17 with 37 pts. Third place with 34 pts was Michael McBride 12.

Good luck to the Senior Scratch Matchplay team who play Strabane G.C this Saturday the 15th in the return leg of this years county final after winning two matches from seven in the away leg.

The match will begin at 3.00pm and home support is welcomed. Rosapenna previously won this title in 2007, ’09 & ’10.

Well done to the Junior Scratch Matchplay (6 & up) team who won 3 matches from 7 away to Letterkenny G.C last Wednesday. The return leg will take place at home this Sunday the 16th at 3.00pm, home support would be welcome.

Best of luck to team captain Joe McHugh & his panel of players.

 

The Donegal League team will be in action away to Bundoran G.C next Wednesday the 19th in the first leg of the 2012 county final. Good luck to all involved.

There will be a club competition this Sunday the 16th & on the 23rd both over the Old Tom Morris Links.

The Starters Cup will take place on Sunday the 30th of September.

All singles match play second round ties must be completed by Monday the 17th of September. Any undecided ties will be decided by the toss of a coin, there will be no exceptions.

There will be a Ladies & Gents Open Singles Stableford over the Sandy Hills Links on Saturday the 22nd of Sept in aid of ACT Letterkenny Hospital.

The entry fee is 20e per player. Tee times contact the Pavilion Golf Shop on 074 915 5000.

The Open Catherwood Mixed Foursomes will be played on Saturday the 29th of September over the Old Tom Morris Links.

The Pavilion Restaurant is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday with our new menu served from 5.30-8.15pm. Contact 074-915-5000 for reservations.

PGA Professional Noel Callan is available for lessons at the Rosapenna Practice Ground by appointment, all enquires can be made by contacting Noel directly on 0044-7789-157654.

The Practice Ground is open seven days with the ball dispenser in operation and new super range golf balls in use.
