EUROPE’S STRONGEST MEN HAVE ARRIVED IN DONEGAL

The official weigh-in of eleven of Europe’s Stongest Men will take place at Kelly’s Moutain Top, Letterkenny at 4.00pm today.

All associate partners, sponsors and members of the public are invited to attend this important part of the weekend’s activities that will ‘weigh-up’ each strongman’s chances of lifting the title of Europe’s Strongest Man Under 90KG.

The much anticipated Europe’s Strongest Man Under 90KG Finals have arrived and eleven of Europe’s strongest men have this morning descended upon Letterkenny.

Mayor Dessie Larkin, warmly welcomed the Strongmen at the Town Council this morning saying, “This is a great event which adds to the calendar of events in Letterkenny. The Town Council has supported this event as we strive to put us on the national and international stage. I wish the athletes well in the European competition. We hope the event returns next week.”

Co-organiser, Nigel Drein, Motiv8 Fitness says “without the support of businesses in town this event wouldn’t happen. Local businesses have been key in bringing this event to fruition.”

Co-organiser, Dave Warner, Renegade Strongman, “I’m thrilled to be able to take this event to Letterkenny. We are going to have an unbelievable weekend, the athletes have trained really hard for this and the competition is fierce. We hope the people of Donegal come out and support them.”

The first of the weekend’s competitions will get underway at the Clanree Hotel this evening with the introduction of Europe’s Strongest Man Under 90kg taking place at 7.00pm.

The first event , The Dead-Lift, sponsored by Hyundai will take place at 7.30pm. The second event – Conan’s Circle sponsored by CBM Signs will take place at 8.00pm.

Day two of events will kickoff at the Bernard McGlinchey Park tomorrow, Saturday 15th from 12pm – 5pm. Don’t miss out on an action packed, FREE family fun day for all to enjoy.
