SENIOR HURLERS
Sean Mac Cumhaills Senior Hurlers took on Burt on Sat 15 Sept 2012 in O Donnell Park. Mac Cumhaills start the scoring with a fine Point from Lee Henderson. Burt came back with a very controversial goal that was clearly a free out. The game from start to finish was most entertaining. The huge work rate and brilliant tackling by the Mac Cumhaills caused …
Burt problems throughout the game. Both team exchanged scores early in the first half with Burt edging it 2-08 to 1-07 at half time. Mac Cumhaills started the second half well causing problems for the Burt defense. Mac Cumhaills got back the score to 2 points with 12 minutes to go, Burt rallied again and extended there lead to 5 points. With time running out Burt scored a soft goal to extend their lead to 3-14 to 1-12. There was a great support for the team and thank you to all that traveled. A monumental effort by all the MacCumhaills players but just fell short at the finish. Well done to Marcel and the Senior panel for representing their club in a hard fought game, the final score doesn’t reflect accurately the game overall.Congratulations to Burt.
