  Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 17.09.12

The Big Day is almost here! Best wishes to Rory, Kevin, Jim and all the Donegal players and backroom staff on Sunday in Croke Park v Mayo. Hopefully Sam will be heading to the Hills once more. Whatever the result they have done us proud. Tír Chonaill Abú!

The Minor Boys defeated Cloughaneely in the Northern Championship Final after a super second half performance. They still await their League semi-final replay v Aodh Ruadh.

The U15 Boys are due to meet Gaoth Dobhair in the Northern Final on Wednesday but it may well be changed due to  a clash with a schools game.

The U14 Boys also turned in a good second half performace to clinch the League and Championship double after overcoming Naomh Conaill in Ballybofey on Sunday.

The U13 Boys Div. 1 team had a win over Buncrana on Friday and they make the short trip to Termon  this week. The Div. 2 team went down narrowly to Glenswilly in their game and they are due to be at home to St. Michael’s this week. The Div. 3 team were also beaten by Robert Emmett’s and they will welcome Urris to the Park this Friday.

The U16 Girls reached the Co. Final on Monday night after getting a narrow 1 point victory over a good Fanad Gaels side in Milford. Their opponents are not known yet.

The U13 girls will take on MacCumhaills on Wednesday (19th) in Glenfin in their Co. semi-final. Malin v Bundoran meet in the other semi-final in the Park also on Wednesday.

U12 Girls training continues at 6pm on Wednesdays in the Park.

The All-Ireland Final Tickets Draw will take place this Thursday night (20th) in the Clubhouse from 8pm. Please return your tickets and money asap. Thanks to all those that gave up their time on Saturday to help sell tickets at the Shopping Centre.

The U16 Hurlers will take on Carndonagh in the B Championship Final this Thursday in Burt at 6:15pm.

There were 2 winners in this week’s Lotto Draw. They matched 3 numbers and win €50 each. The numbers were 10-11-13-16. David O’Herlihy (Adrian) and James Gallagher, Sallaghagrane (card). Next week’s Jackpot is €2,375.

We extend our sympathies to the Herron family, Ballymacool on their loss.
