IF you’re lucky enough to have tickets for Sunday’s All-Ireland Football Final, you should be aware of Garda restrictions in Dublin that day.
It’s easy for the guards – they do this every year.
We only get to do it once every 20 years….so please read the notice below from the GAA & Gardai. If you end up being sent in a direction you don’t want to go, before or after the game, this will kind of explain it:
GAA patrons attending Sunday’s All-Ireland football final should note that the stadium’s full traffic plan in relation to both pedestrians and motorists will be operational.
In the interest of efficient and effective crowd management patrons will not be allowed to meet or congregate on Jones’ Rd before or after the game and will be asked to follow the instructions of stewards and Gardaí.
After recent consultations with An Garda Síochána, members and supporters attending the game should also note the following arrangements:
• Hard tickets checks will be in place from 10.30am at the corner of Nth Circular Rd and Jones’ Rd (Gill’s Corner) and Clonliffe Rd and Jones Rd.
• Only patrons with the following tickets will gain access to Jones’ Rd; Nally, Hogan, Premium, Suite ticket holders and Ard Chomhairle.
• Ticket collections should be made outside the match day cordon.
• Access to the Croke Park Hotel Car Park (with valid parking pass) will be via Gill’s corner only.
• After the match there will be a restriction on movement on Jones Rd between the Hill 16 end of the stadium towards the hotel and canal as part of efforts to manage the movement of large numbers of people.
These measures will be enforced by An Garda Síochána in an effort to streamline the movement of people attending the games, particularly after the games. Supporters are asked to plan their departure from the stadium choosing an exit that best suits their post match travel plans.

We are also asking all supporters to refrain from entering the pitch at the end of game in the interest of spectator and player safety and to remain in their positions for the post match celebrations and lap of honour.
