Goals from Matt Harkin in the 13th minute and veteran Kevin McHugh in the 54th minute should have been enough to claim victory.
Jamie Carr managed to get one back in the 23rd minute for the home side but Harps led all the way until the 76th minute.
A Joe Mulcahy goal grabbed a share of the points for the Youths.
Despite the draw, Peter Hutton can take comfort in the fact that his side have now gone eleven games unbeaten.
