Rosses AC

The first race of the cross country season will take place on 7th October in Castlefinn for Donegal even ages and Masters. This will be followed by the Donegal Uneven ages and Novices in Killybegs on Sunday 14th October. All children must be registered with the club to run. Sportshall Athletics will be starting up again in Ionad Spóirt na Rosann in Dungloe on Monday 24th September at 6.45 pm. Fee of €10 for 5 nights. Training on Friday nights from 6pm to 7pm – all welcome. Sportshall Athletics starts tonight (Mon) in Ionad Spóirt na Rosann gym at Rosses Community School gym in Dungloe from 6.45 to 7.45 pm. Fee is €10 for five Monday night sessions or €15 per family. Events include sprints, relays, standing long jump, speed bounce, ball throw, javelin and shot putt. Training continues on Wednesday and Friday from 6-7pm at Mullaghderg. Due to large numbers we do need help and parents to stay and help with supervision. Two euro per child. A great evening saw a great crowd of 261 walkers and runners celebrate and remember two great legends of the Naomh Mhuire club on Friday evening last in Frankie Pat Gallagher and Finbar McBride. Noel Diver from Gweedore charged to the front to head Kevin McGee from Dungloe. Fionnula Diver made it a double for the Diver family taking the womens race from another Gweedore women Noreen McGee.
