The annual Lady Captains outing took place at the weekend to Redcastle Hotel and Golf resort. The sun shone on the Lady Captain, Angela Kilgallen, to take the honours with a great score of 37 points. Celine Bradley, a lady who has never been far from the prize winners enclosure this season, came 2nd with 35 points and another lady who has worn out her shoes walking the floor, Mary Murray 34 points, came 3rd. Grainne Hines took the front 9 with 18 points and the Lady Vice Captain, Sandra McMonagle took the back 9 with 19 points. A wonderful weekend was had by everyone and many thanks to the Redcastle Hotel for their wonderful hospitality.

The heavy rain has put paid to some competitions. Please check online or notice board for upcoming events. The beginning of October will see the start of the turkey and hamper competitions. Hamper competitions will be 18 hole re-entry on weekends only. 9 hole re-entry turkey competitions, may be played anytime during the week.

Commiserations to the Fred Daly Team who were so narrowly defeated at the 21st hole in the final in Knock on Sunday.

Congratulations to the Donegal Team, who are the pride of the county, on their fantastic win on Sunday, in particular to our own club members who were part of the team and squad. Team Captain Michael Murphy, Colm McFadden, Neil Gallagher, Michael Boyle and Thomas McKinley, bringing joy to everyone.
