STORMS WHIP UP MONSTER WAVES ON DONEGAL COAST

FATE has been kind to Donegal this week after Jim McGuinness’s men lifted the All-Ireland title.

But the weather has been cruel to their fans with torrential rain for the past 36 hours.

The good news is that the people of Glenties tomorrow and Inishowen on Thursday might not be so wet when Sam Maguire is put on show by the players.

The high winds today have been whipping up the waves off the coast, reaching 20 to 30ft.

As can be seen in our picture taken by Joe McFadden at Port na Blagh this afternoon.

Thanks also to Paul Lapsley for the second picture.
