ON THE RUN DRINK DRIVE PRISONER COULD BE IN DONEGAL

A prisoner on the run in the North for the past three years could now be holed up in Donegal.

Thomas Gregory Caldwell had been serving a sentence in Magillagan prison, Co Derry for driving with excess alcohol in his breath.

However, he had given a temopary release from the jail in October, 2009 on condition that he return once his leave was up.

However, 40-year-old Caldwell took flight and has not been seen in almost 36 months, staying one step ahead of a posse of police officers trying to track him down.

Now following new information, the North’s Department of Justice believes Caldwell has taken refuge in Donegal to avoid detection and it has published a picture of him on its ‘WANTED’ site.

Caldwell is described as having black hair, green eyes, medium build, height 5 foot 6 inches. He is known to have a scar on his left upper arm.
