JOGGER HIT BY RUNAWAY CAR AFTER CRASH

A jogger has been rushed to hospital after an out-of-control car mounted a footpath and struck him.

The man was jogging on the Port Road in Letterkenny when the accident happened.

One car struck another car send it onto the footpath hitting the jogger at around 7.30pm last night (TUES).

The jogger and one of the drivers were rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital but it is not understood their injuries are not life-threatening.

A spokesman for the Garda Press office confirmed a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has been launched.
