Local Rule-Stakes and Ropes

In order to protect the surrounds of our greens during the Autumn and Winter months Portsalon golf club will this year instead of having a white line in front of the greens have this replaced with a rope and stake system. Portsalon Golf Club will introduce a local rule for this new system. The rule is;

All Stakes and Ropes are IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS.

These must not be lifted or moved.

Relief may be taken if stakes or ropes interfere with stance or intended swing.

Intervention on the line of play is not interference under this rule.

Relief: Drop without penalty, within one club length and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief.

Penalty for breach of rule:  two strokes
