UPDATED: This is the ordinary-looking warehouse on the outskirts of Malin Town which was home to a million euro drugs business.
The factory, which is located about 3 kms outside the town, is believed to contain more than €1 million of cannabis plants.
Inside Gardai found primitive living conditions being used by the people running the factory.
Gardai have spent the morning at the scene of the raid at Drumaville which took place this morning before 10am following intelligence gathered by Gardai.
The plants are believed to have been stored in an old kitchen assembly factory.
Plants at various levels of growth as well as elaborate growing equipment have also been discovered.
Two foreign nationals, believed to be Chinese nationals, have been arrested as part of the operation.
The investigation, which is believed will last a number of days, is being led by Supt Kevin English.
“We are dealing with a warehouse so you can imagine the scale of what is involved.
“The cannabis plants are at various stages of development from seed to young plant and some have been harvested and would be ready for the market.
“We have arrested two non nationals at the scene and they are being detained in Buncrana and will remain so in relation to the discovery,” he said.
