Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce is enticing people to stay in Letterkenny rather than go to Derry for Halloween after organising a huge Halloween festival.
On October 31st the town centre will be filled with music, entertainment, face painting, trick or treating and a surprise or two for those who attend.

This festival is a first for Letterkenny. A number of businesses will be participating in a trick or treat trail. This involves children accompanied by adults registering at Market Square.
They will receive wrist bands and a list of participating business where they can collect treats. Registered children and adults can avail of free face painting. There will be fancy dress competitions, interactive story telling and lots more.
Thanks to funding from Letterkenny Town Council, ShopLK has organised plenty of activities and campaigns throughout the year and there is lots more to come by the end of the year.
John Watson Chamber President said it is great to see all the retailers getting behind this campaign.
“We want people to re-discover Letterkenny. This town is the shopping centre of Donegal and with more involvement from the community we can build on this year after year. As Chamber President I am delighted to be part of this.
“We’d love to see as many families and young people as possible come to Main Street and the other shopping areas. There are prizes for the best costumes and some surprises along the way. ”
