MOVIE-makers behind some of the world’s biggest movies will be in Letterkenny this weekend – looking for their next star.

Nick McGinley worked on the casting for The Guard – and his director Paki Smith has worked on the Batman movies.

Auditions for a young boy performer take place at the Mount Errigal Hotel this Saturday between 10am and 5pm.

Nick told Donegal Daily: “We’re holding Open Auditions for a Boy aged 8-11 for a feature film this Saturday October 27th 10am-5pm at the Mount Errigal.

“I cast the little boy in The Guard through auditions like this in Galway and the director Paki Smith has worked as Set Decorator on the Batman films and Production Designer on Eamon and 32A. We’ve held auditions in Dublin, Galway and Cork for this film and the part as written is that of a Donegal boy.

“Auditions are for a part in a feature film A Long Way Home (Samson Films, Director Paki Smith) Acting experience is an advantage, but not essential. We’d love it if your readers could see this and help us find a new star for the big screen.”

If you are interested, contact Casting Director Nick McGinley for appointment and sides (the 2 scenes we’ll be playing out on the day)
