The Seniors defeated Dungloe to reach their first county final since 2009. Well done to Brendan, Eamon, Michael and all the players, Lee McMonagle with 2 and Mark McGowan got the goals as the lads won by 3-06 to 0-06. The opposition will be the same as in 2009 after N. Conaill defeated Four Masters on Sunday. The final will take place on Nov. 4th.
The Reserves have reached the semi-final stage of their Championship after a good win over Killybegs on Saturday and they will now meet Cloughaneely in Termon this Saturday (Oct. 27th) at 4:30pm for a place in the decider.
The Minor Girls defeated Four Masters by 4-06 to 2-02 to reach the county final where they will take on St. Michael’s in a repeat of the U16 Final from two years ago.
The U13 Boys had a hard fought win over MacCumhaills in the Northern Board Final on Saturday in Ballybofey and now meet either N. Conaill or Ardara in the county semi-final, possibly this Sunday.
U12 Girls football training continues in the Convent Gym at 6pm on Wednesday’s but will take a break next week Oct. 31st) for Halloween and return on Nov. 7th. It is followed by U10 & U12 Girls Campogie from 7pm – 8pm. Cost is €2 per child.
The U13 hurlers defeated the Letterkenny Gaels to reach the final of division two of the Northwest league. They met Banagher of Derry in the final but conceded some early scores which despite a good second half performance ultimately proved the difference. Nevertheless this team can be proud of their display with Banagher being the only team to defeat them throughout the competition.
There was a great night of success for the Scór na nÓg participants in Glenfin on Friday night with all four participating sections reaching next months county finals.
The Sunday Morning Academy Presentation takes place in Arena 7 next Thursday, November 1st from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Cost is €5 per head. The Academy has now finished until next Spring.
