An innovative approach to fundraising for a worthwhile cause came in the form of 6,000 crepes made by Harveys Point Hotel key staff raised the amazing amount of €1,200 for Donegal Action for Cancer Care.

The hotel made the tasty bites at the Taste of Donegal Festival and asked people to make a donation to a charity of our choice for our Help the Community Program.

This time around the hotel decided to donate the funds to DACC a well worthy voluntary group in recognition of their ongoing work for cancer services in Donegal.

Harvey’s Point this year alone has raised much needed funds for Donegal Hospice, RNLI , Down Syndrome Ireland, Bluestack Challenge & Drimorane community centre, DACC and many many more. We endeavor to help many more local charities in the future.

“At any food festival over the years Harvey’s Point have made complimentary crepes which are very tempting and very popular. Harvey’s Point famous . Crepes are a must at our Sunday Carvery. We endeavor to help many more local charities in the future,” said Sheila Russell.

DACC were delighted that their ongoing work in the county & at National level for cancer services is being acknowledged with the likes of the good people at Harveys Point.

“We were delighted when Sheila contacted us, it was a positive light and helped re-energise us to keep going in these very difficult times of many major cuts to health services. Thank you Harveys Point,” said Betty Holmes of DACC.
