IT’S 90 NOT OUT FOR IRELAND’S OLDEST WORKER!

The craic was ’90’ as Ireland’s oldest working lady celebrated nine decades with family and friends.

Mary Lafferty is a familiar face at Killybegs Community Hospital.

But far from being a client of the hospital, Mary works at the centre where she walks to and from her house nearby each day.

Not only does Mary help to teach computers at the hospital but she even helps give other clients a keep fit regime on a daily basis!

Last year, Mary was entered into TV3’s Oldest Working Person in Ireland, where she picked up the Oldest Working Woman in Ireland title and appeared on Ireland AM to receive her prize.

Mary had managed to keep her age a ‘national secret’ up until last year, when she had to disclose it for the competition!!

Hospital staff and clients celebrated with Mary in the day hospital in Killybegs on Friday where staff even had a picture of Mary put on a cake.

Mary is planning to celebrate in style today with all her family including all her great grandchildren, the actual day of her birthday.
