GAA: NAOMH COLMCILLE GAA CLUB NEWS

Naomh Colmcille bowed out of the Intermediate Championship last Saturday night in the semi-final replay against Aodh Rua of Ballyshannon at a cold and wet MacCumhaill Park.

In contrast to the close game last week at O’Donnell Park that ended in stalemate, Naomh Colmcille never imposed themselves on the game and couldn’t contain an Aodh Rua side who were well worth their 1-15 to 0-06 victory.

Despite their disappointment on the night, Naomh Colmcille can look back on a successful season in which they were defeated only twice and were crowned Division 4 champions, and they can recharge their batteries in preparation for football in Division 3 in 2013.

The club dinner dance is set for Friday 23rd November at the Station House Hotel, Letterkenny. Further details to follow.

The club will be holding a FREE Halloween football camp on this Thursday (1st November) from 10 am to 2:30 pm, for u8s to u12s boys and girls. The kids should bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing for the weather, and maybe a change of clothes if appropriate. If possible bring completed registration forms on the day. Forms will also be available beforehand on Thursday morning.

The club will be holding a Poker Night on Saturday 17th November. Contact Leo Devenney for details.

Naomh Colmcille’s Weekly Lotto: This week’s winning number sequence was 2.10.13.18.21. Congratulations to Niall Gallagher (Burnfoot) who matched 4 numbers and won €75. The Club would like to take the opportunity to Thank Everyone for their continued support of the Lotto as it gives the Club the essential means of continuing to give our local Kids and Adults the chance to avail of a great and healthy pastime.
