RESIDENTS of Buncrana say their lives are being ruined by dozens of teenagers at the weekends.
People living in Ferris Lane say last weekend was “hell on earth” as more than 50 young people gathered in the area to drink and set off fireworks.
They say they’ve called Gardai dozens of times in the past year over ongoing incidents.
One horrified resident says he opened his front door to find one youth urinating onto it.
Other residents have told Donegal Daily that they would leave the area, but can’t because of the property market.
“They’ve turned our lives into hell on earth,” complained one resident.
“The mid-term break last week was just awful. These are young teenagers who think it’s great craic altogether to set off fireworks outside elderly people’s homes.
“Gardai are out here all the time but they don’t appear to be able to do anything about it.”
Another resident said senior Gardai “should try spending a Saturday night here to see what it’s like.”
He added: “These teenagers are roaming the town and terrorising people in their own homes.
“Their parents are scum as far as I’m concerned. In my day parents knew where you were and what you were up to. They should be lynched…..publicly.”
