We were roving through the archives last night and came across this video of Letterkenny from 1975.

The video is an amazing step-back in time to when it was okay to smoke in a pub and when there were far less cars on the town’s Main Street.

Shops names including Flemings jump out at you and the Main Street was even two way!

And we also warn readers to keep an eye out for a shady-looking guy on a Lough Swilly bus who went on to become one of the best-known reporters in the north west in recent years.

Let us know your comments or your memories and we’ll publish them at the bottom of this video.
