SUPER Sarah Collins put in another storming performance for her American college today and then declared: “I can’t wait until the next run!”
The Finn Valley athlete is so good she landed a fantastic scholarship at Providence College, Rhode Island.
And her freshman year on the track just continues to get better and better as she today led her college to the national American finals thanks to her finish in second spot in the 6k in Madison, Connecticut.
Next up? The finals in Kentucky next week.
Sarah finished today’s 6k in 19:55.3, just two seconds behind D’Agostino, rated America’s best.
Goes to show you that the Twin Towns club produces the very best.
Said Sarah: “I’m absolutely ecstatic with my performance and that of the team in winning the regionals.
“The nationals are a week away and I’m very very excited. I’m really enjoying my experience at Providence. It has been just incredible. Every step along the way has been a learning experience.
“A big ‘hello’ to everyone back in County Donegal and at Finn Valley AC. I know everyone will be wishing me well in Kentucky next week.”
