There are major delays on the main Letterkenny to Derry Road near Newtowncunningham following a three car collision this morning.
The accident is believed to have happened just before 9pam.
An ambulance has just arrived on the scene and there is understood to be at least one injury.
An eye witness said there are major tailbacks as a result of the crash.
Gardai and members of the fire service are at the scene.
Gardai say no-one has been seriously hurt but a number of vehicles have been badly damaged.
