Marian Shrine
Work is almost complete on the Marion Shrine renovation with the money raised from the community car wash.
Some of the work undertook included power washing of all stone work, cleaning and repairing of roof slates, removal of damaged steel framework, and removal of trees/branches over the shrine, fitting of new PVC ceiling, new light fitting, photo cell, trip switch etc. General overhaul of fuse board and wiring etc. All facia board and plaster work re-painted. Marble engraved lettering re- etched and painted. New stone chip laid around the shrine and 2 new seats fitted. Flower boxes erected on the pillars and to the shrine area.
We apologise for the delay due to issues outside our control. A big thank you to all who helped out and especially to all those kind and generous people who got their car washed or gave donations. Well done to all in this community project.
Drumkeen Youth Club
Youth Club this Fri 23rd Nov from 6 to 8pm. Please note the earlier time. Well done to everyone who attended our outing to Arena 7, brilliant day out even the oldies had a blast, check out the photos on our Facebook page. Christmas draw tickets to be returned this Fri. Please make a big effort to sell all your tickets as this is the only fundraising we will be doing this year.
Drumkeen Old School Reunion
The Drumkeen Old School Reunion weekend which is open to everyone will take place on 03rd/04th Aug. 2013, beginning on Sat 03rd with a mass for everyone who attended the school followed by a viewing of the old School Roll books which date back to the early 1900s, so if you would like to check someone’s attendance record this is your chance, our dinner dance takes place on Sun the 04th in Jackson’s Hotel, so if you’re looking for a Christmas present for your Mum, Dad, grandparents, brother or sister, then why not treat them to a ticket to the biggest event of 2013. Ireland Soccer Squad
Well done to local lad Gareth Doherty who has been selected for Ireland under 15’s and will play his first game in Qatar in December 15th. Well done from all in the parish.
Dance
A dance will take place on Fri 23rd Nov in St. Patrick’s hall from 9.00 pm -12.00 pm. Music by Kieran Mc Aree. Adm €7. Supper Served, all welcome.

Jean O’Brien and Anne Kelly wish to thank sincerely all who give so generously of their time and help organise those who provided entertainment, donated food, sold or bought tickets and lines for fundraising event in St Mary’s Hall in aid of Neo Natal Unit Letterkenny Hospital and Neo Natal Unit Rotunda Hospital Dublin. Approx. €5800 is raised at present. We are giving 2/3 of proceeds to Letterkenny Hospital and 1/3 to Rotunda Hospital .To Father Kemey and committee members of St Mary’s for allowing us use the hall. To Reverend David Griscome for his helpfulness and assistance. On the day of the event magnificent work was done by our friends in organising entertainment, serving tea etc. this is very much appreciated by us and hopefully please God monies raised will help other sick babies.
FIBROMYALGIA SUPPORT GROUP for Letterkenny & Stranorlar
There will be no meetings for the above group in December or January (but present members are welcomed to attend the Group Christmas Dinner at Villa Rose, Ballybofey on Friday 7th December by confirming your name with Jude)
Meetings will resume in February – 1st Wednesday of each month in St. Conals, Letterkenny 7pm to 8.30pm and 1st Friday each month in Millbrae Health Centre, Stranorlar 6.30 to 8.30pm. New members welcome.

No band practice this Tue 20th Nov. Practice next Tue 27th in the hall @ 7.00pm. all new members welcome. Age 11 to 91 years. We’ll teach you to play the flute or drum and have some fun!!
