WHO SAYS Donegal people aren’t lucky?

Well the people who run Winning Streak on RTE certainly think so.

Last weekend one lucky Donegal woman won €23k on the show – and next weekend another Donegal woman will get her turn.

Joanna McDaid from Culdaff won €23,900 on last Saturday’s National Lottery Winning Streak TV Gameshow held in RTE.

This Saturday it’s the turn of Rose Meehan from Drimconnor, Mountcharles.

Pictured at the presentation of winning cheques to Joanna were from left:- Marty Whelan, Gameshow Host, Joanna McDaid, winning participant, Eddie Banville, Head of Marketing, The National Lottery and Geri Maye, Gameshow Host. The winning ticket was bought from Brendan McGuinness, Main Street, Culdaff.

Joanna will be sharing who winnings with her husband Adrian.

Their two children – Sophie (16) and Morgan (9) – have already put in orders for Christmas….an iPhone and an iPad!

Joanna’s friend Sandra Mullarkey, also from Culdaff, was a contestant on the show on 22 September, so Joanna could not believe it when she heard her name.

“I thought I was going to have a heart attack with the shock,” she laughed.
