A bogus charity collector behind a Santa con was a SCHOOLBOY, Donegal Daily can reveal.

Gardai had been investigating incidents in pubs in Bundoran on Sunday in which a man dressed in a Santa suit was collecting money for the RNLI.

But after the story was first revealed on Donegal Daily, Gardai acting on a tip-off spoke to a teenage schoolboy about the incident.

It’s understood the boy will be cautioned about his behaviour and has agreed to hand over his ill-gotten gains so they can be given to the RNLI in Bundoran.
