ELEVEN DONEGAL FESTIVALS GRANTED CASH FOR 2013 EVENTS

A total of 11 festivals planned for Donegal for 2013 have received grant allocations.

The largest allocations of €7,000 each went to the Guth Gafa Film Festival in Gortahork and the Donegal Gathering TV Channel.

Donegal festivals received a total of €50,000 as part of the overall allocation of €685,000 across the country.

The allocations have been welcomed by Labour Senator Jimmy Harte.

The following is the breakdown of festivals and the monetary allocations.

Ballyshannon Int Folk Festival 2013 €5000

Oideas Gael Cultural Festival €3000

Mary of Dungloe Reunion 2013 €3000

Taste of Donegal Food Festival €5000

North West Garden Show – White House € 5000

Cup an Tae + Ardara Gathering €3000

Donegal Gathering TV Channel €7000

Letterkenny Live €2500

Gallagher Clan – 2nd global gathering €5000

Ballyshannon 400 Events €4500
