A DONEGAL hotel has been booked out for the G8 summit – by the BBC.
The news organisation reserved every single room at the Sandhouse Hotel in Rossnowlagh.
The hotel made its own headlines around the globe earlier this year when its manager bought it for just €650,000 at an auction.
Now Paul Diver is celebrating another “global” success after the announcement of the G8 conference in Co Fermanagh next June.
“I could have sold the rooms over and over again,” revealed Paul.
“The BBC rang up and just booked out the entire place. Within hours we were also getting calls from media organisations in Russia and Japan,” he said.
“The arrival of the G8 has huge spin-offs for County Donegal because of the massive entourage which accompanies such a major conference.
“Fermanagh will win out of this in terms of publicity for tourism but so will Donegal.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming the BBC team to the Sandhouse.”
