GARDAI are warning motorists today that overnight rain has frozen to leave black ice on many roads in Co Donegal.
And you had better get used to it – the weather forecasters say we’re in for at least 10 days of freezing weather.
Night temperatures will drop below freezing each night this week with tomorrow, Wednesday, expected to see the coldest day of the week.
“This is leading to dangerous driving conditions on many untreated and rural roads,” said AA Ireland today.
“We would urge motorists to drive with extreme caution throughout this week.”
