When Sally Shiels lost her prize-winning horse two years ago she went into mourning.
Like the loss of any family pet, she took it very badly.
But now she has turned the loss of Blaze (pictured below) into something special.
“The friendship between a horse and its owner is a very special one and losing a horse can be a heart-breaking time for any horse owner,” said Sally (BELOW) from Deenystown, Letterkenny.
“My current horse Ellie battled cancer earlier this year as well but thankfully she has survived
Hand-crafted from the tail hair of horses, the bracelets are a timeless reminder of a special friendship.
“Every piece is unique and is tailored from the hair of an owner’s own horse or pony, finished in solid silver and hand-crafted in here in Donegal,” said Sally.
“We get heartwarming stories from the owners and that makes each piece more special,” said Sally.
“But we also get customers who don’t have horses themselves but just love the jewellery.”
She added: “If you don’t have a horse, I have plenty in items in stock for people to choose from.”
