A LIFELONG servant to the people of Co Donegal has retired – and made sure he raised a few more euro for people when he did.
Brendan ‘Mannix’ Gallagher worked for the past 43 years with the ESB in Ballyshannon.
And there was a large turn-out for his retirement do at the Allingham Arms Hotel on Friday night.
But Brendan refused to take a retirement present; asking instead for donations to the Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat.
