The head of the Garda Traffic Corps in Co Donegal has warned drivers not to take a chance behind the wheel this Christmas.
Inspector Michael Harrison was speaking at the launch of the the cross-border Winter Road Safety Campaign which was launched today.
Inspector Harrison warned that the unprecedented level of co-operation on both sides of the border means many more people are being tested.
“Whatever side of the border you are on do not take the chance of losing your license or killing someone. Do not drink and drive,” he said.
