Gardai today asked for more time to discover the exact quantity of drugs uncovered in a raid in Letterkenny last month.
Garda Inspector Michael Harrison told Letterkenny District Court he was still awaiting confirmation on the overall quantity of the haul which was found at a house in Letterkenny on November 6th last.
Simon Crawford, 28, appeared in connection with the discovery of the drugs, 4- Methylethcathinone (synethetic cocaine) at Gleann Tain Close.
Crawford was charged with possession and intent to supply the drugs.
Gardai had estimated the haul to be worth more than €200,000.
It was revealed how Gardai allowed a “controlled delivery’ of the substance by courier to the address at which Crawford was arrested.
The parcel, allegedly containing the drugs, had been shipped through China and Germany before arriving in Ireland.
Crawford, of 11 York Avenue, Portstewart, Co Derry, did not speak during today’s hearing.
The case was adjourned until January 14th for a full of evidence to be heard.
